The project is still in motion and while the problems are solved, Torvalds has opted to continue the project on GitHub with the idea of returning to kernel.org when everything returns to normal. So, for now, GitHub has become the “official repository” version 3.1-rc5 kernel since, for the audit and maintenance, Torvalds could not upload the files to the repository.
